Easter Cupcakes

Hello sweeties ! Here are some of the cupcakes I made for this Easter ! In Catalunya is typical to eat "monas de chocolate" , beautiful cakes decorated with big chocolate eggs , animals , houses ... 

I have created this mini monas cupcakes as a tradition of my own ! This year I didn't have much time to decorate them so I choose to buy this lovely chocolate bunnys and some pre-made macaroons

Halloween Cookies !

My first Halloween decorated cookies !

 

I just love to make them but it takes me to long to decorate !!

I made this sweet mini cupcakes for my birthday ! They were as delicious as they look !!

Valentine Special

mmm Valentine it's such a good excuse to make some sweet things ^^

I had to make cookies to use my new cutters and the cookie icing that I bought a few weeks ago (previous post )

jajajaaa so perfect for halloween

But doing  cookies was not enough , I have so many valentine cupcake linners that I must do cupcakes too ! With my mom's lemon cake recipe and vanilla frosting  

and what a best way to decorate a cupcake that with my sweet love cookies and some yummy vanilla frosting

look how cute they look  together , but in a smaller size they look  even better

Anf for those who wonder how to do this cool striped cookies here's a small tuto

Spread the icing in your cookies

with a mall toothpick make horitzontal lines

use different colors and be fast before it dries !!

move your toothpick doing vertical lines to make the effect !!

A sweet walk : my day off

This last weeks have been very stressing for me , I have several problems with shipping delays that caused me to rethink my strategies and goals . To forget about it for a while I took a day off . I visited one of my favorite bake products stores in Barcelona and discovered a new one that I just found the other day on the internet and I had to visit !!

For this super sweet walk by Barcelona you are gonna need to use the "metro" line 5 ( color blue  ) First stop " Sagrera "  to visit Manenas shop in  Garcilaso Street nº 26  find more info here : http://www.manenas.es/contacto.php

This was my first time in this shop , they  were very sweet and have lots of products even being a small place.

Afterwards go back to the metro line 5 (blue) and travel 3 more stops until "Virrei Amat" then follow down Avinguda Borbón Street nº 35 to Mundodelareposteria shop

 And of course don't think I didn't buy anything !! 

In Manenas Shop I couldn't resist to buy cookie icing , usually I make my own but it's so much work XD

I also found this cute long sticks for cookies that I have seen on so many decorated cookie shops and webs

I couldn't resist to buy some valentine cookie cutters

and this cute silver pearl sprinkles

Of course in mundodelareposteria I had to buy something too ;P

I was happy to find this vanilla icing , they also had chesse cake yummy... but I decided to start buying just one to try first .

I was looking for some edible glitter and I got this gold one

You see before going out today I checked my valentine cupcake liners and saw I had to many and promised not to buy more ... so what do you think it happened when I saw this where the only ones left

yes bought them !! And then I found this super difficult to find cupcake liners that I didn't even like , but after seeing them in so many webs and hearing how much people loves them I just had to buy .

And since I already got the big ones and forgot completely about my promise I ended buying this too ;P

So yes I stressed out myself and emptied my purse ^^

More cupcakes ^^

This yummy cupcakes are made with my special receipe plus chocolate chips and nuts !! To bad I only had nuts and chocolate for four cupcakes !! The others looked so boring !!

Here's a little tutorial to make boring cupcakes into " I want to eat them all " cupcakes !!

You need white chocolate , sprinkles , food colorants , milk , a glass and a little spoon ! Oh and cupcakes !!

Put the white chocolate into the glass , almost half of the bar !! Pour 3 or 4 drops of milk and heat it into the microwave .

Mix the hot chocolate with food colorant to make diferent colors , here I started with pink and after that I make purple ( in the same glass ) So Yes ! The purple glass in the photo is full of chocolate ^^

Pour the hot tinted chocolate in the cupcakes , add several colors to look more yummy ! Finally add some sprinkles !!

Now you may want to put them in the refrigerator to cool down the chocolate !

And Thada !!! No more boring ? Uhg !

I love Cupcakes

My Special Recipe

3 eggs (room temperature)

4 cups of flour

2 or 3 cups of sugar

1 limon yogurt or natillas danone

( you can also try other yogurt flavors)

3/4 olive oil

1 royal baking powder

1/4 of butter

Use the empty yogurt to make the measurement ,bake for 25 – 30 minutes at 180 degrees

Look how yummy looks the withe chocolate tinted in pink and fuchsia !!

I made this yummy cupcakes for my birthday ^^ They are decorated with fondant flowers and white chocolate tinted with food colorants ! I never liked white chocolate before but with cupcakes it's delicious !!
